Turning Interest Into Action
Every month on the day of the full moon, the SSDS mandir holds a satyanarayan katha that is recited by the pandits. If it falls on a weekday, it is held at 5.30 PM and if it falls on a Sunday at 10.30 AM. It is a religious worship of the Hindu God Vishnu. Satya means "truth" and narayana means "The highest being" so Satyanarayana means "The highest being who is an embodiment of truth". Also the mass Prayan is held once a moth on 29th or 30th, again in honour of Lord Ram.
