As the Chinese adage goes, the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now. To leave a lasting legacy for the future generations and to commemorate the joyous occasion of turning 100 years old in Kenya, on 26th July 2017, the team at SSD Temple dedicated a day to plantinf tress in the SSD gardens. The trees polanted include Albizia, Gummifera, Croton Megalocarpus, Warbugia Ugandensis, Podocarpus Falcatus & Juniperas Procera.  In good times, visitors at the SSD Temple will have the pleasure of plucking and enjoying the following fruits; bananas, apples, mangoes, oranges, avocados, tangerines, custard apples, loquats, guavas and pomegranates. While adding trees to the aesthetics of the enironment, the trees will serve as a screen from neighbouring houses; and provide cleaner air and shade around the boundary of the lawn in the future.
